Ministries and programs

Our ministries exist to worship God, teach His word, and serve our community in Kailua-Kona. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have walked with Christ for years, there is a place for you here.

Sunday Worship

Sundays · 4:30 PM leadership worship, 5:00 PM service

Leadership gathers to worship at 4:30 PM and the whole church comes together at 5:00 PM.

Music, preaching and prayer move between Marshallese and English so that grandparents and grandchildren follow the same service. There is prayer for families and for the sick, an altar call for anyone who wants one, and afterwards there is food.

Bible Study

Wednesdays · 4:30 PM

We work through Scripture a passage at a time rather than skipping to the highlights. Questions are welcome. New believers and people who have walked with Christ for forty years sit in the same room and grow side by side.

Most weeks somebody shares a testimony, and we finish by praying for each other by name.

Women's Ministry

Women's prayer · Thursdays 4:30 PM

The women of this church pray together on Thursday evenings, study Scripture, and then go and do something about it. They visit the sick, organize clothing drives, and run free classes that are open to the whole community, not just the congregation.

  • Cooking classes, preparing nutritious meals on a budget
  • Sewing classes, so families can clothe themselves
  • Hospitality training
  • Visits to the sick and clothing drives

Youth Outreach

Fridays · 4:45 PM

Friday nights belong to the young people. There is worship and Bible teaching, and also mentorship and counseling, sports, fellowship, and going out to serve the community together.

The goal is simple: give the next generation a reason to say no to drugs and yes to purpose.

Youth Hope & Recovery

This is the ministry closest to our pastor's heart, and the one our community asks about most.

Right now we offer faith-based mentorship, prayer, Bible counseling, and a community that will not walk away from a young person who is struggling. We are working to grow it into a fuller program, including direct connections to professional rehab resources.

The goal: break chains, restore families, save lives.

Community Outreach

The church is a registered distribution partner of The Food Basket, Hawaii Island's food bank, under account #638. Produce, protein, dairy and pantry staples are collected and taken directly out to families who need them.

Alongside that we run free clothing drives, and members visit people in hospital and at home to pray with them.
